Mercedes-Benz has recently introduced the 2014 E250 BlueTEC in the United States.
The E250 BlueTEC will actually become the most affordable E-Class in America and is powered by an all-aluminum 2.1-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine which produces 195 hp and 500 Nm of torque. It is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission which allows the sedan to return 45 mpg highway / 28 mpg city with the rear-wheel drive system or 42 mpg highway / 27 mpg city with the optional 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.
According to the German carmaker, "No other diesel sedan [in America] offers a better EPA fuel economy highway estimate" than the E250 BlueTEC.
Set to go on sale shortly, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E250 BlueTEC has a starting price of $51,400 or $53,900 with the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system (both excluding a $925 destination & delivery fee).
