Kia has just revealed the 2014 Sportage which comes with minor changes to the exterior and interior.
Available in three trims (LX, EX and SX), the facelifted Sportage is distinguished by a revised grille and redesigned fog lamps (on the EX trim). The list of optional extras includes HID headlights and LED taillights.
Interior changes are limited, but the cabin has a tilt / telescopic steering column, reclining rear outboard seats and a rear seat ventilation system, along with an updated UVO infotainment system that offers Internet connection using a smartphone.
Customers can also order a Premium package which adds ventilated front seats, navigation with SiriusXM Traffic, leather-trimmed seats, panoramic sunroof, smart key with push button start and power-folding outside mirrors.
Under the hood, the 2014 Sportage receives a new 2.4-liter GDI four-cylinder engine which produces 182 hp and 239 Nm of torque - an increase of 6 hp and 12 Nm. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission which allows the front-wheel drive crossover to return an efficiency of 21 mpg city and 30 mpg highway.
