Toyota has just released a second teaser image of the Hybrid-R concept which will be unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show on September 10.
According the Japanese carmaker, the Hybrid-R concept will be based on the Yaris and uses a powertrain which features similar technology as seen in the TS030 Hybrid race car in the FIA World Endurance Championship. It combines a high-power internal combustion engine with electric motors to provide a combined output of more than 400 hp.
In addition, the Hybrid-R will also feature a dual mode control system that allows the car’s performance to be tailored to suit either the road or racetrack.
