Subaru has announced plans to offer a WRX RS40 to celebrate the company's 40th anniversary in Australia.
Based on the current generation WRX, the special edition features a WR blue mica exterior, gold-colored 17-inch alloy wheels, special badging and a variety of STI components, including STI rear spoiler, STI front lip spoiler, STI short shift gear assembly and STI flexible tower strut brace.
Inside, the cabin comes with an individually-numbered plaque and Recaro sport seats with blue Alcantara inserts.
Motivation is provided by the same turbocharged 2.5-liter boxer engine as the standard version developing 265 hp and 343 Nm of torque.
Limited to 300 units, the Subaru WRX RS40 is available for pre-order now and pricing starts at $44,490 AUD.
