The Lamborghini Veneno was one of the most anticipated cars receiving the most attention from car enthusiasts all around the world and a new report is indicating the Italian carmaker is considering a roadster variant.
Cars UK is claiming that several loyal Lamborghini customers have been approached by a dealer who asked if they'd be interested in a Veneno Roadster. This could suggest Lamborghini has already committed to a run of Veneno Roadsters or they're seriously canvassing opinion from wealthy customers to consider doing so.
Those customers are also the source of the information about a run of 9 cars, that is three times as many as the coupe. If the Veneno Roadster is produced, it’d likely cost even more than the coupe which starts at €3 ($3.9 or £2.5) million.
As a small reminder, the Veneno is powered by an Aventador-sourced 6.5-liter V12 engine which produces 750 hp. This allows the supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 355 km/h.
