As a result of its successful world public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the VUHL 05 will go into production this November, with first deliveries scheduled for next spring.
VUHL Automotive director Guillermo Echeverria said "Our aim for Goodwood was quite specific - to accrue sufficient orders for a batch of 20 'Edition One' (top specification) models and, with the serious enquiries already received from the UK, central Europe, USA and Mexico, we are well on the way to achieving that and more."
As we have reported, the 05 is powered by a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine which produces 285 hp and 420 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission that allows the 725 kg sports car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 245 km/h.
The Mexican carmaker is currently accepting orders and pricing starts at $86,225 (£55,000 or €64,505).
