German carmaker Audi has announced plans to introduce the 2013 Quattro concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
According to Auto Motor und Sport, the concept will use a significantly shortened RS7 platform with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine creating more than 600 hp working together with a 170 hp electric motor. This system can provide a combined output of almost 800 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of 300 km/h.
The limited-run production model is rumored to be launched in 2016 with a starting price of more than $265,200 (€200,000 or £171,900).
