The 2014 Corvette Stingray has recently arrived in Europe for a final round of testing before going on sale later this year.
The test program is a part of GM’s standard quality program, which is conducted for each new Chevrolet model before it goes on sale in Europe, and will be overseen by Chevrolet Europe technical manager Patrick Herrmann who will document his experience on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Instagram.
"Corvette is one of the famed names in automotive history and the new Stingray is the most advanced and capable standard model yet," said Herrmann. "Driving and testing this car is definitely one of the most interesting aspects of my job."
According to Chevrolet, the Corvette Stingray will be offered in the Old Continent with a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine which develops 460 hp and 630 Nm of torque. This allows the sports car to sprint from 0-96 km/h in 3.8 seconds when equipped with the Z51 Performance Package.
