Renault has announced the Clio GT will be available to order in the UK starting next month for a starting price of £17,395.
Set to sit between the standard Clio and the flagship RS, the Clio GT comes with new bumpers with F1-style blade, larger air vents and LED daytime running lights. There's also a subtle rear spoiler, side sills, darkened headlamps, twin chrome exhaust tailpipes and 17-inch anthracite alloy wheels.
Motivation is provided by a 1.2-liter four-cylinder turbo engine which develops 120 hp and 190 Nm of torque, with the power being sent to the front wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. This allows the hatchback to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 9.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 195 km/h. In terms of efficiency, it returns 5.2-liter / 100 km (54.3 mpg UK or 45.2 mpg US) in the combined cycle with CO2 emissions of 120 g/km.
The Renault Clio GT can be ordered in five exterior colors (Malta Blue, metallic Flame Red, Diamond Black, Mercury and White) with first customer deliveries from September.
