Peugeot has announced the 2014 RCZ R will make its international debut at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed.

According to the French carmaker, the RCZ R is the culmination of an evolutionary product journey that started with the original RCZ Concept that quickly made it into production, then into the Paris show RCZ R concept which inspired the road-going RCZ R.

Two red RCZ Rs will be displayed for the first time in public during the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 12. One of them will be driven by Bradley Philpot who recently competed in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.

Under the hood, the car will be powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter THP engine which produces 260 hp, making it the most powerful production model in Peugeot’s history. Its efficiency will be a benchmark with power/capacity among the highest in the world for production vehicles at over 160 hp / liter with CO2 emissions of just 155 g/km.
