Honda has officially revealed the 2014 Accord Hybrid, which will go on sale in the United States in October.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the Accord Hybrid features the same sophisticated styling found on the sedan, plus hybrid badging and blue-accented grille and light lenses, LED daytime running lights, unique alloy wheels and a rear spoiler.
Inside, the cabin has a unique display which provides the driver with instant fuel economy and energy flow information for efficient driving performance. Other highlights include perforated leather-trimmed seating surfaces, an 8-inch color i-MID display, seven-speaker audio system and a multi-angle rearview camera.
Power comes from a two-motor hybrid system which consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine working together with a 166 hp electric motor. This should allow the car to return a class-leading mid-size sedan EPA fuel economy rating of 49/45/47 mpg (city/highway/combined).
The 2014 Accord Hybrid will be the first Honda hybrid vehicle assembled in Ohio and the second built in the United States. It will join the diverse Accord lineup, which includes the Accord Sedan, Accord Coupe and the advanced Accord Plug-In.
