To celebrate 60 years of Corvette production, Chevrolet has recently unveiled the 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Based on the 3LT trim level, the special edition features a Laguna Blue Metallic exterior with an exposed carbon fiber roof, a noticeable stinger stripe on the hood and a set of Torque-style chrome wheels with Stingray logos in the center. Meanwhile, the suede-wrapped interior comes nicely equipped with carbon fiber decor packages, an individually numbered plaque on the dashboard, sill plates and special floor mats.

Motivation is provided by a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine that develops 460 hp and 630 Nm of torque thanks to the performance exhaust system. It is mated to a seven-speed manual transmission which should allow the sports car to sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds.

Limited to 500 units, the Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition is equipped with magnetic selective ride control and Z51 Performance Package. The cars also come with custom Corvette branded luggage from Thule and a unique VIN number starting with "300001".
