VW Concept BlueSport

In an recent interview, Volkswagen design chief has revealed the brand is still considering a roadster like the BlueSport concept that was introduced at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show.

Speaking to Auto Motor and Sport, de Silva said "I'm not the only one in our company, who is pushing for a compact roadster. This is a vehicle that we particularly like, and we always have in mind."

As a small reminder, the BlueSport concept featured a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TDI engine which produced 180 hp and 350 Nm of torque. This allowed the car to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 226 km/h.
