Auto Express reports that the Porsche Macan will make its debut at the 2013 Los Angeles Motor Show in November, before a spring 2014 launch date.
Set to compete with the Range Rover Evoque, the baby Cayenne will be based on the modular MLB platform which also underpins the Audi Q5. It will be produced at a factory in Leipzig, Germany, with the price is estimated to start at £36,000.
Earlier rumors indicated that the Macan will be offered with a range of six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The base model will be powered by a 220 hp 2.0-liter TFSI engine, while the range-topping version could get a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine with 370 hp.
