Lotus has officially announced their Exige S Roadster will have a starting price of £52,900 (including VAT) when it goes on sale in the United Kingdom this summer.
Described as a "race-bred sports car" which "possesses the poise of a sleek convertible," the Exige S Roadster has an aggressive front fascia, LED-infused headlights, a wild rear wing and 17- / 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires.
Power comes from a mid-mounted 3.5-liter V6 engine which produces 350 hp at 7,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm. This allows the 1,166 kg car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.0 seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 233 km/h.
In the rest of Europe, the Lotus Exige S Roadster will cost €55,378 (excluding local taxes) and in Japan, it starts at ¥8,500,000 (including taxes).
