BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo

BMW has just released a new video presenting the 3-Series Gran Turismo that was unveiled last month in Geneva.

According to the German carmaker, the 3-Series GT combines the "sedan’s dynamic, sporting genes with the practicality and versatility of the Touring". It is 200 mm longer in total than the 3-Series Touring, comes with a 110 mm longer wheelbase and stands 81 mm taller. As a result, the front and rear passengers all benefit from a seating position raised by 59 mm, while the load area holds 520-liter of luggage which can be expanded to 1600-liter when the rear seats are folded down.

Under the hood, five different engines are available, including a 143 hp 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder diesel, a 184 hp 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder diesel, a 184 hp 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder, a 245 hp 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder and a 306 hp 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline-six cylinder.

In the United States, the BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo will go on sale in late 2013.
