Aston Martin has officially unveiled the CC100 Speedster concept to celebrate the brand's centenary.
Designed and built in fewer than six months at the company's global headquarters in Gaydon, the two-seat concept is a tribute to the DBR1 which British racing legend Sir Stirling Moss drove to victory at the 1959 Le Mans. It measures approximately 4,500 mm long and around 2,000 mm wide.
Under the hood, the CC100 has a 6.0-liter V12 engine mated to a six-speed hydraulically actuated automated sequential manual transmission. This allows the 1,200 kg car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in a little over four seconds and hit an electronically-limited top speed of 290 km/h.
The one-off CC100 has been sold to a wealthy client for an estimated price tag of between $770,000 and $1,540,000.
