SSC has announced the 2014 Tuatara will have a starting price of $1.3 million, with the first customer deliveries are scheduled for December this year or January 2014.
Designed by Jason Castriota, the upcoming Tuatara will be powered by a twin-turbo 6.9-liter V8 engine that produces 1,350 hp and 1,733 Nm of torque when running on 91 octane fuel. If that isn't impressive enough, the American supercar maker says the engine is easily capable exceeding 1,700 hp.
While the top speed has yet to be revealed, the Tuatara aims to reclaim the world's fastest car crown from the Bugatti Veyron, and to do so it would have to hit more than 431 km/h (267.8 mph).
