Japanese carmaker Nissan has recently released some new details about the 2014 370Z Nismo, which is set to go on sale in the United States this summer.
Available in four exterior colors (Pearl White, Magnetic Black, Gun Metallic and Solid Red), the updated model is distinguished by a unique rear bumper, red accents and dark gray trim. There's also a fully integrated chin spoiler, revised side skirts and 19-inch Rays forged aluminum-alloy wheels with Bridgestone Potenza S001 Y-rated high-performance tires.
Inside, the cabin gets Nismo logo seats, a red Nismo tachometer, smooth leather-wrapped shift knob, aluminum-trimmed pedals and a new steering wheel with Alcantara appointments.
Motivation is provided by a 3.7-liter V6 engine which produces 350 hp at 7,400 rpm and 374 Nm of torque at 5,200 rpm. It is mated exclusively to a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission with SynchroRev Match technology that automatically controls and adjusts engine speed when shifting to the speed of the next gear position.
The 370Z Nismo also has a tight body structure with a strut tower bar brace and a pair of performance dampers, as well as Nismo Sport Brakes with 14-inch front and 13.8-inch rear vented rotors with 4-piston front and 2-piston rear aluminum calipers.
