Chevrolet has recently revealed the 2014 Silverado Texas Edition which is designed to recognize the strong bond between Texans and their trucks.
According to the North American carmaker, the midlevel LT version features a trailering package, locking rear differential, body color trim, 20-inch polished aluminum wheels and Texas Edition badges. Meanwhile, the more upscale LTZ model adds chrome accents and a Bose premium audio system.
"The Silverado Texas Edition recognizes the fact that one out of every six full-size pickups are sold in Texas," said Maria Rohrer, Silverado marketing director. "It combines features that add real value for Silverado customers with unique badging that honors the connection between Texans and their trucks."
Like all 2014 Silverado 1500 models, the Texas Edition includes:
- All-new EcoTec3 engines - a 285 hp 4.3-liter V6 on the LT and a 355 hp 5.3-liter V8 on the LTZ
- A stronger, quieter, more comfortable cab
- A refined new interior with features and connectivity tailored to the needs of truck customers

- Revised steering, suspension and brakes for improved ride and handling
