Peugeot has officially unveiled the 208 T16 race car that will compete in the famed Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 30.

Created by Peugeot Sport, the car has a carbon fiber body with large side skirts, a ventilated hood and a side-exiting exhaust system. There's also wide wheel arches, a very aggressive rear diffuser and a giant rear wing.

Inside, the cabin features a digital instrument cluster, a roll cage and a carbon fiber racing seat. The French carmaker also offers alloy pedals and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters.

Set to enter into the Unlimited Class, the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak will be driven by nine-time world rally champion Sebastian Loeb who will have to cope with a strength-sapping altitude difference of some 1,500 metres in less than 20 km, with the finish line situated at an altitude of 4,301 metres.
