Mercedes-Benz has recently announced plans to offer a four-cylinder petrol engine in the GLK.
According to the German carmaker, the GLK 250 4MATIC will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which produces 211 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the four wheels via a seven-speed 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmission, which allows the crossover to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 215 km/h. In terms of efficiency, it returns an NEDC combined fuel consumption of 7.5 to 7.7-liter per 100 km (30.5-31.3 mpg US or 36.6-37.6 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 176-180 g/km.
Set to go on sale in June, the GLK 250 4MATIC has a starting price of €44,149 (including VAT).
