According to a recent report from Autocar, Nissan will introduce a hybrid variant of the Pathfinder at the New York Auto Show this week.
The Pathfinder Hybrid is expected to share its powertrain with the Infiniti QX60 which will also make its debut at the show. This means the car will feature a supercharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, an electric motor and a continuously variable transmission, providing increased torque as well as the improvement to fuel economy.
As a small reminder, the standard Pathfinder is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine which produces 260 hp and 325 Nm of torque. This allows the crossover to return 20 mpg city / 26 mpg highway (FWD) and 19 mpg city / 25 mpg highway (4WD).
