After several photos surfaced the internet this Saturday, Kia has released full details about the Provo concept, ahead of its debut in Geneva tomorrow.
Designed to preview an upcoming B-segment vehicle, the concept is "an emotional and muscular car aimed at delivering pure fun and performance for today’s city-based enthusiast driver who longs for the curves of the open road". It measures 3,880 mm long, 1,770 mm wide, 1,350 mm tall and rides on a 2,530 mm wheelbase.
The 2+2 coupe features an orange roof, narrow headlights, a wraparound windscreen, frameless doors and 19-inch milled aluminum wheels. Inside, the cabin has a dashboard made from a single expanse of carbon-fiber, while the front seats are fixed into place and it's the wheel and pedals that are adjusted in order to match the driving position.
Under the hood, the Provo concept combines a 1.6-liter Turbo GDi engine producing 204 hp with smart-4WD-hybrid technology from an electric motor powering the rear wheels and delivering an additional 45 hp. A 7-speed DCT transmission completes the impressive technical package.
