The 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG has just made its global premiere at the New York Auto Show today.
According to the German carmaker, the four-door version of the A45 AMG hatchback is powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine which develops 360 hp and 450 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the four wheels via an AMG Speedshift DCT seven-speed dual clutch transmission and a rear differential.
This setup allows the coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. In terms of efficiency, it returns 6.9-liter per 100 km (34 mpg US).
In Germany, the 2014 CLA 45 AMG will go on sale in July and pricing starts at €56,078 ($71,981), while in the United States, it will cost $47,450 (€37,067) with sales to start this spring.
