2013 Geneva: Ferrari LaFerrari

Ferrari LaFerrari

This is the 2013 Ferrari LaFerrari that has officially been unveiled today at the Geneva Motor Show. It’s the fastest and most advanced model the Italian carmaker has ever produced.

Built to replace the Enzo, the LaFerrari is powered by a 6.3-liter V12 engine which develops 800 hp at 9,000 rpm and 700 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, working together with an electric motor providing an extra 163 hp and 270 Nm. That delivers a total combined power output of 963 hp, with the power being sent to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. This allows the 1,255 kg supercar to sprint from 0-100 km/h in less than 3 seconds, 0-200 km/h in under 7 seconds, 0-300 km/h in 15 seconds and hit a top speed of more than 350 km/h.

The LaFerrari can lap Ferrari's Fiorano test track in Italy in less than one minute 20 seconds, which is five seconds faster than the Enzo and more than three seconds quicker than the F12 Berlinetta.

To cope with the awesome performance, the Enzo successor is fitted with a double wishbone suspension, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes measuring 398x223x36 mm front / 380x253x34 mm rear and 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires.

Production will be limited to just 499 units worldwide, but prices have yet to be confirmed.
