A neon yellow Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG E-Cell was recently spotted while testing in Barcelona, Spain.
First revealed at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show, the production SLS AMG E-Cell will be powered by four electric motors for a total output of 740 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. This allows the super/sports car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just under four seconds. The lithium-ion battery pack will be located behind the cockpit and down the center tunnel.
The German carmaker has promised that this will be the worlds first all-electric supercar when it goes on sale this year.
