Japanese carmaker Suzuki has recently announced plans to offer the Swift Sport SZ-R Edition in the United Kingdom.
Set to go on sale on March 1, the SZ-R is designed to appeal at customers who want to own a Swift Sport with a very distinctive look, but still want the sporty,fun-to-drive experience of the standard Swift Sport. It has a Cosmic Black exterior with contrasting Ablaze Red paint of the roof, door mirrors and rear spoiler plus SZ-R side badging. Inside, the cabin comes with uniquely-numbered door sill guards and red contrast stitching on seats, steering wheel, gear shift knob and floor mats.
The special edition also offers a high level of equipment as standard, including HID Projector headlamps, seven airbags, auto air conditioning, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity and USB port, rear privacy glass and 17-inch wheels.
Motivation is provided by a 1.6-liter engine which develops 134 hp and 160 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.7 seconds, hit a top speed of 195 km/h and return 44.1 mpg UK (6.4-liter per 100 km).
Only 100 units will be produced and pricing starts at £14,249 - just £500 more than a standard model.
