Ford has just unveiled the European production version of the 2013 EcoSport at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Set to hit UK showrooms early next year, the all-new EcoSport will be the second SUV to be launched in Ford’s expanding European range when it goes on sale at the end of this year, following the larger Kuga. It is built on Fiesta's platform and will be offered with a 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine producing 125 hp and a 110 hp 1.5-liter gasoline engine. There's also a 90 hp 1.5-liter diesel engine, which is expected to deliver class-leading fuel efficiency.
This compact SUV will be one of the first Fords vehicles on sale in Europe to offer SYNC AppLink that allows customers to voice-control smartphone apps from the driver’s seat. It will also have Ford SYNC voice-activated in-car connectivity system as well as SYNC Emergency Assistance.
The 2013 Ford EcoSport will also be showcased at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next week.
