According to a recent report, Japanese carmaker Nissan is currently developing a high-performance variant of the Juke Nismo.
British car magazine Autocar says that the sportier Juke will be powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces approximately 220 hp and 298 Nm of torque - an increase of 20 hp and 60 Nm. It will be offered in front-wheel drive with a six-speed manual transmission or four-wheel drive with a continuously variable transmission.
The crossover will also get a more focused chassis, upgraded brakes and a revised suspension with different springs, shock absorbers and unique damping rates. This allows the car to sit 20 mm lower than the normal Juke Nismo.
The upgraded Nissan Juke Nismo is expected to go on sale towards the end of the year.
