Kia has recently announced plans to offer a new special edition of the Soul in the United Kingdom, called the Shaker.
According to the South Korean carmaker, the Shaker is distinguished by a Vanilla Shake or Quartz Black metallic exterior with 18-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin comes nicely equipped with "Houndstooth" cloth seats, an electric tilt-and-slide sunroof and an automatically-dimming rear view mirror with an integrated colour reversing camera. There's also a multi-function steering wheel, air conditioning and Bluetooth/iPod connectivity.
Under the hood, two engines are available. The 1.6-liter CRDi turbo-diesel engine develops 126 hp and 260 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission, while the 1.6-liter GDi engine produces 138 hp and 165 Nm of torque. With the latter engine, the car can accelerate from 0-96 km/h in ten seconds and hit a top speed of 180 km/h.
The Kia Soul Shaker is currently on sale and pricing starts at £15,295.
