According to a recent report, Nissan is planning to unveil the hatchback version of the 2014 Versa at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
Previewed by the Invitation concept at the Geneva Motor Show last March, the redesigned Versa hatchback will represent a more upscale subcompact model for the the Japanese carmaker, making the Versa sedan Nissan's least-expensive vehicle.
Under the hood, engine options could include: a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder with 109 hp and a 1.2-liter supercharged 3-cylinder with 97 hp, while a more efficient 3-cylinder engine may also be offered.
Set to go on sale this year, the 2014 Nissan Versa hatchback is expected to be assembled in Sunderland, UK. Full details will be announced on January 14.
