Porsche has just released a video which shows the 2013 911 GT3 Cup in action at the test track in Weissach.
The 911 GT3 Cup is the world's best-selling racecar, with 2,395 units made since its 1998 introduction. It is the most successful race car Porsche has ever made.
Motivation is provided by a 3.8-liter flat-six engine which produces 460 hp at 7,500 rpm - an increase of 10 hp compared to its predecessor. It is mated to a six-speed "dog-type" transmission that is operated via shift paddles at the steering wheel for the first time in a Porsche trophy race car.
The 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup will cost $234,245 (excluding tax) and will be competed exclusively in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in 2013.
