Audi has recently released a new video showing the 2013 RS5 Cabriolet in action on the race track.
As the open-top version of the RS5 Coupe, the Convertible features a lightweight soft top which can be opened in 15 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h. It will be available in black, gray, red or brown with eight exterior options available including a monochrome colour, four metallic and pearl effect colours and three crystal effect paints.
Motivation is provided by a 4.2-liter V8 engine with 450 hp at 8,250 rpm and 430 Nm of torque between 4,000 and 6,000 rpm. Power is sent to the rear-biased quattro all-wheel drive system via a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and hit a limited top speed of 250 km/h, while optionally increased to 280 km/h.
The 2013 Audi RS5 Cabrio will go on sale early next year, with pricing starts at €88,500. When it comes to America, expect the price
tag to sit around $110,000.
