New details are starting to emerge about the upcoming Turbo variant of the 2014 Porsche Cayman after the German carmaker released the redesigned Cayman at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Expected to debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Cayman Turbo will reportedly be powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder boxer engine that produces 350 hp and 500 Nm of torque - 25 hp and 130 Nm more than the Cayman S. It could be mated exclusively to a dual-clutch PDK transmission which allows the coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 4.9 seconds.
This four-cylinder engine would drastically reduce CO2 emissions and meet future fuel economy. It could eventually fit in the Boxster and 911.
