Ford has just announced the price and specification details for the all-new Kuga in the United Kingdom.
According to the North American carmaker, the base version will have a starting price of £20,895 which is £1,000 less than the outgoing model, while the top of the line variant will cost £29,795.
Under the hood, two engines are available. The 1.6-liter EcoBoost petrol engine comes with two outputs, 148 hp or 178 hp, while the 2.0-litre TDCi Duratorq diesel engine develops 138 hp and 161 hp. All engines are mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, with Ford's Powershift automatic transmission available on four-wheel-drive diesel models.
The crossover will be offered in three trim levels: Zetec, Titanium and Titanium X. The best-selling 161 hp 2.0 TDCi Titanium is available for £25,545 which is £355 less than before. It's equipped with standard features like reclining rear seats, adjustable load floor, Ford SYNC, four-wheel-drive monitor, cruise control and Hill Start Assist.
Options can include a hands-free tailgate and intelligent four-wheel drive with Torque Vectoring Control. Orders are open now, with the first models are expected to arrive in dealerships early in 2013.
