Japanese carmaker Subaru has just introduced a facelifted version for the Stella kei-car.
Set to go on sale in Japan on January 5, 2013, the updated model measures 3,395 mm long, 1,475 mm wide, 1,620 mm tall and with a 2,455 mm wheelbase. It features a mild exterior body refresh, LED tail lights and an updated instrument panel. There's also a front MacPherson strut, a rear torsion bar and a re-tuned suspension.
Under the hood, the Stella facelift is offered with a naturally aspirated 0.66-liter engine and a turbocharged version of the same engine. Both engines feature a new start/stop system and have an output of 64 hp.
Enhancements include the introduction of a new "Smart Assist Collision" which alerts the driver of an imminent obstacle or pedestrian via visual and audio notifications.
