Dodge has just unveiled the 2013 Charger AWD Sport, which is one of particular interest to buyers in the snow belt regions during the winter season.
Essentially a new sport package for SXT and R/T AWD models, the Sport adds a gloss black grille border, a body-colored rear spoiler, a new sport exhaust system and 19-inch polished alloy wheels with gloss black pockets and all-season performance tires.
Inside, the cabin comes with sport seats (black cloth in the SXT and heated red Nappa leather in the R/T), steering wheel-mounted shift paddles and a Beats Audio system with a 12-channel amplifier, eight speakers and two subwoofers.
Under the hood, two engines are available: a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 300 hp or a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 370 hp. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Despite the power increase, the sports car still returns 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway.
Set to go on sale early next year, the 2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport has a starting price of $32,690, excluding a $995 destination charge.
