After the Aventador Roadster was officially unveiled yesterday, Lamborghini has released a video which shows how to install the carbon fiber roof. The clip made at the US private release in Miami, Florida.
The Aventador Roadster has a Targa-style two-piece carbon-fiber roof that can be removed by hand in “a few seconds” and weighs just 6 kg. The carbon-fiber roof is made using Lamborghini’s own Forged Composite tech, which creates a material stronger than titanium but less dense.
Motivation is provided by a 6.5-liter V12 normally-aspirated engine that produces 700 hp. It is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission which allows the supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in three seconds and hit a top speed of 349 km/h.
