Vauxhall has recently introduced the Insignia VXR SuperSport, which is a replacement for the standard Insignia VXR. It costs £3,760 less than its predecessor at £29,995.
Motivation is provided by a 2.8-liter V6 engine with a single twin-scroll turbocharger and a forged steel crank, producing 320 hp. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 5.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 170 mph, representing a 15 mph increase. Vauxhall is claiming the new SuperSport is the fastest car on sale in the UK for under £30,000.
Visual identifiers include a revised speedometer and new brake calipers which now have blue Brembo lettering. In addition, the VXR SuperSport also gets a HiPerStrut front suspension system with a torque-sensing AWD system to improve grip.
The Vauxhall Insignia VXR SuperSport is available to order now and comes with Vauxhall's Lifetime Warranty.
