Renault has recently introduced a new limited edition of its Megane Estate, called the Megane Estate GT 220.
Designed to combine sport with practicality, the special edition features a unique exterior with body-color door handles, gloss black accents and 18-inch Serdard-style wheels with high-performance tires. Interior changes include sport seats, a specific steel gear lever knob, aluminum pedals and an individually-numbered "GT 220" plate.
The sporty station wagon has also been equipped with a special sport chassis, a sport-tuned suspension, beefier brakes and an electric power steering system.
Motivation is provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter petrol engine which produces 220 hp and 340 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. This allows the car to average 7.3-liter per 100 km (32.2 mpg US / 38.6 mpg UK) and have CO2 emissions of 169 g/km.
The Megane Estate GT 220 will go on sale in France this month, ahead of its launch in 11 other select markets, from Europe to Japan.
