Excite Rallye Raid Team has just revealed the Range Rover Evoque Desert Warrior 3, which will be competed in the FIA T3 world championship for rally raid events.

This modified Evoque weighs 1,900 kg and features 16-inch Compomotive Atacama Rally Raid wheels with BF Goodrich Desert Race G series tires, 8 Reiger coilovers and a 260-liter fuel tank that ensures a maximum range of 1,200 km. There's also a double piston system with a speed-dependent damper, a corner control valve (detects if the vehicle is cornering or going straight), a rebound control valve (detects if the wheels are on the ground) and a lateral control valve (detects if the compression is caused by the body going down or wheel going up).

Motivation is provided by a BMW-sourced 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine that produces 275 hp and 650 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed ZF sequential gearbox. Without any restrictions, this engine can develop 350 hp and 850 Nm of torque.

"The vehicle has a real presence. It’s very well put-together, it’s strong and rugged," said professional British driver John Hardy in a release. "The thought and attention to detail is mind-blowing, all the dials are at eye level, all the switches are where they need to be and the space in the cockpit will be critical as we’ll be spending hours strapped in!"
