The Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG will reportedly make its world debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Based on the same flexible platform structure as the latest A-class and B-class, the high-performance version will feature the same 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine as the upcoming A45 AMG, which develops 335 hp and more than 400 Nm of torque. It will probably be linked to a dual-clutch 7-speed gearbox and an AWD system. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in about 5 seconds and hit a limited top speed of approximately 250 km/h.
The CLA 45 AMG will go on sale in the UK in early 2014 at a price of about £38,000. It will be produced at the new manufacturing plant in Tecskemet, Hungary.
