The Mazda MX-5 facelift will have a starting price of £18,495 when it goes on sale in Europe on December 01.
According to the Japanese carmaker, the two-seater roadster has a more aggressive front fascia with larger air intakes, new fog lamp bezels, a new chin spoiler and a fresh set of 17-inch aluminum wheels. Inside, the cabin features a glossy dark grey dashboard panel, steering wheel inserts, a 5.8-inch touch screen monitor, climate control air-conditioning, satellite navigation system, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity.
For pedestrian safety, the sports car has been equipped with a new active bonnet which lifts at the rear to absorb the energy of impact.
Under the hood, two engines are available. The 1.8-liter engine produces 126 hp, mated to a five-speed manual transmission, while the 2.0-liter engine develops 158 hp, mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
