According to What Car, the 2013 Jaguar F-Type, which will be launched next year, has already received more than 2,000 orders. This number is almost a third of the 6,000 to 7,000 units the British carmaker is hoping to sell in 2013.
Most of those orders come from European customers, where the F-Type made its official debut, but most likely the largest market for the car will be United States.
In the UK, the entry-level version has a starting price of £58,500, followed by the S at £67,500 and the V8 S costs £79,950. Meanwhile, US customers will get the same three versions, priced at $69,000, $81,000 and $92,000, respectively.
As we have previously reported, the base F-Type is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine with 340 hp, while the mid-level S uses the same engine, but power grows to 380 hp. The flagship V8 S is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine with 495 hp and 625 Nm of torque. All three engines are mated to an eight-speed Quickshift transmission.
