Ford has recently introduced the Transit Custom ECOnetic, which will be launched early next year.
Designed to appeal to business owners, the van is powered by a 2.2-liter Duratorq diesel engine with 100 hp. According to the North American carmaker, thanks to optimized gearing, a start/stop system and low rolling resistance tires, the car returns 6.0-liter per 100 km and CO2 emissions of 159 g/km
In addition, the Custom ECOnetic also features an Acceleration Control system which promises to reduce fuel consumption by 4 to 15 percent as well as cut wear-and-tear on brakes, tires and other components.
