New details are starting to emerge about the redesigned 2014 Maserati Quattroporte, ahead of its unveil at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January.
Auto Edizione says that the sixth generation Quattroporte will be available with two engine options that have aluminum construction, direct injection and twin turbochargers. The base twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine produces 410 hp and will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in five seconds and hit a top speed of 285 km/h. With the optional all-wheel drive system, it can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 284 km/h.
Meanwhile, the top of the lineup engine will be a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 with 530 hp. This will reportedly enable the sports car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 307 km/h.
