The base version of the 2014 Chevrolet Impala, the LS, will have a starting price of $27,535 when it goes on sale next spring. That's about $700 more than the outgoing model.
Meanwhile, the mid-level LT is priced at $29,785 and the range-topping LTZ costs $34,555. The redesigned Impala will be offered with two 4-cylinder engines, a new 2.5-liter producing 195 hp and 253 Nm of torque and a 182 hp 2.4-liter with GM's eAssist "mini hybrid" system, plus a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 305 hp and 358 Nm of torque. All engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Prices for the V6 version will start at $30,760 for the LT and at $36,580 for the LTZ. All of the listed prices include a mandatory $810 destination charge.
Standard equipment includes Chevrolet’s MyLink entertainment system with an eight-inch color display screen, 10 air-bags, adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert and side blind zone alert.
"We’ll build on the success the Impala nameplate has generated over its history," said Chris Perry, vice president, Chevrolet marketing. "We’ve added sophisticated design features, more technology and safety equipment, while conserving Impala’s current strengths like spaciousness and comfort."
