According to an announcement made by Kia, the 2013 K3 has already received 20,034 orders. It took just 34 days for the new sedan to surpass the 20,000 mark in pre-orders after being launched in September.
This number already exceeds the domestic sales target (19,000 units) set by Kia for this year. So deliveries will take about a month to reach consumers.
The 2013 K3 is basically a sedan version of the Cee’d hatchback and is powered by the same 1.6-liter GDi petrol engine with 140 hp and and 167 Nm of peak torque. It comes with some new technologies such as a parking assistance system, LED headlamps and Kia's next generation 'telematics' service UVO, which enables drivers to control their cars via a smartphone or other IT devices.
