In a recent interview, Volkswagen senior officials have confirmed plans to reveal a seven-seater SUV concept at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January.
Speaking with Autoweek at the 2012 Sao Paulo Motor Show, a Volkswagen manager said that the concept is based on the Passat and will enter production at V-Dub’s Chattanooga production plant in Tennessee.
Set to hit the market in 2014, the new Volkswagen SUV will compete with rivals like the Toyota Highlander, Ford Edge, Chevrolet Equinox and Honda Pilot.
